Word On The Street + new painting
24 September 2010

If you're in Toronto this coming Sunday (September 26) check out the always enjoyable Word On The Street literature festival, from 11 am until 6 pm at Queen's Park. I will be at the Koyama Press booth, #245, from 11 am – 1 pm, signing copies of Spirit City Toronto. Also present will be Pat and Marek of Tin Can Forest and Patrick Kyle of Wowee Zonk, with cameos by Nick DiGenova, Michael DeForge and Steve Wilson. And of course, Anne Koyama herself will be there. Come on out, and get yer lit on!

In other news, I was part of a show that opened last night at Resistor Gallery here in Toronto. It was a launch party for the new film Never Let Me Go which is based on the novel by Kazuo Ishiguro, and the theme of show was "What Does It Mean To Be Human?". I did a painting (see below) titled Chiromantic Puzzle which featured a high-contrast mix of found paper and a decayed palmistry diagram. Thanks to Kim at Resistor, and to everyone who came out!
