Born on the Canadian prairies, Aaron Leighton attended the Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary, graduating with distinction in 1995. More recently, his artwork has appeared in books, magazines, advertising, animation and apps, and has been exhibited in group shows in North America, Europe and Asia. He also spoken at the Pictoplasma conference in Berlin, contributes regularly as a writer for UPPERCASE magazine and is one-third of the Trio Magnus art collective, along with Steve Wilson and Clayton Hanmer.
Aaron currently lives in Toronto and works as the lead illustrator and art director at Sago Mini, making innovative, award-winning apps and toys for kids. He spends his free time wrestling with a black cat and talking to trees.
